Pattern: `动词 + 数词 + 次`

动词 + 数词 + 次

`次` shows how many times an action happens. With words like `中国`, `西安`, or `老师`, the object can come before or after the count.

我去过一次中国。
Wǒ qù guò yí cì Zhōngguó.
I have been to China once.
他见过老师两次。
Tā jiàn guò lǎo shī liǎng cì.
He has met the teacher twice.

Pattern: `再 + 动词 + 一次`

再 + 动词 + 一次

Use `再...一次` to say that someone wants to do the same thing one more time.

我想再去一次西安。
Wǒ xiǎng zài qù yí cì Xī'ān.
I want to go to Xi’an one more time.
请你再说一次。
Qǐng nǐ zài shuō yí cì.
Please say it one more time.

Pattern: `有 + 数量 +（长/远）`

有 + 数量 +（长/远）

`有` can show that time, quantity, or distance reaches a certain amount.

从机场到学校有三十多分钟。
Cóng jī chǎng dào xué xiào yǒu sān shí duō fēn zhōng.
It takes over thirty minutes from the airport to school.
今天的课有一个小时。
Jīn tiān de kè yǒu yí gè xiǎo shí.
Today’s class is one hour long.
