Bú yào le. Wǒ xiǎng mài gěi tóng xué.
No. I want to sell it to a classmate.

这本书比那本书贵十块钱。
Zhè běn shū bǐ nà běn shū guì shí kuài qián.
This book is ten yuan more expensive than that one.

虽然贵一点儿，但是他很想买。
Suī rán guì yì diǎnr, dàn shì tā hěn xiǎng mǎi.
Although it is a little expensive, he really wants to buy it.
小林
那请你拿给我一本书。我看看，也拿给你一杯水。
Nà qǐng nǐ ná gěi wǒ yì běn shū. Wǒ kànkan, yě ná gěi nǐ yì bēi shuǐ.
Then please hand me a book. I will take a look and also get you a cup of water.

Learning Note

`卖给` and `拿给` can take two pieces of information: the person first, then the thing. In `还要吗`, `还` means still or more.

Pattern: `动词 + 给 + 人 + 物`

动词 + 给 + 人 + 物

After `卖给`, `拿给`, or `送给`, you can say the person first, then the thing.

我卖给同学一本书。
Wǒ mài gěi tóng xué yì běn shū.
I sold a book to my classmate.
请你拿给我一杯水。
Qǐng nǐ ná gěi wǒ yì bēi shuǐ.
Please get me a cup of water.

Pattern: `A + 比 + B + 形容词 + 数量 / 一点儿`

A + 比 + B + 形容词 + 数量 / 一点儿

To say how much the difference is, put the exact amount after the adjective. For a small difference, use `一点儿`.

这个杯子比那个杯子贵一点儿。
Zhè ge bēi zi bǐ nà ge bēi zi guì yì diǎnr.
This cup is a little more expensive than that cup.
这本书比那本书贵十块钱。
Zhè běn shū bǐ nà běn shū guì shí kuài qián.
This book is ten yuan more expensive than that one.
