Zhè jiā bīn guǎn gēn wǒ men shàng cì zhù de bù yí yàng.
This hotel is different from the one we stayed at last time.
小雨
对，房间又大又安静，我一点儿都不担心。
Duì, fáng jiān yòu dà yòu ān jìng, wǒ yì diǎnr dōu bù dān xīn.
Right. The room is big and quiet, so I am not worried at all.
小林
除了房间好以外，服务也不错。
Chú le fáng jiān hǎo yǐ wài, fú wù yě bú cuò.
Besides the good room, the service is also pretty good.
小雨
可是它离海边有点儿远。
Kě shì tā lí hǎi biān yǒu diǎnr yuǎn.
But it is a little far from the seaside.

没关系，明天的计划跟今天一样轻松。
Méi guān xì, míng tiān de jì huà gēn jīn tiān yí yàng qīng sōng.

Pattern: Complete Negation

一 + measure word + 都/也 + 不/没

This pattern strongly says “not even one” or “not at all.”

我一点儿都不累。
Wǒ yì diǎnr dōu bú lèi.
I am not tired at all.
他一个房间也没看。
Tā yí gè fáng jiān yě méi kàn.
He did not look at even one room.

Pattern: `A 跟 B 一样`

A + 跟 + B + 一样 + adjective

Use `跟...一样` to say two things are the same in one aspect. Add `不` before `一样` for “not the same.”

这个房间跟那个房间一样安静。
Zhè ge fáng jiān gēn nà ge fáng jiān yí yàng ān jìng.
This room is as quiet as that room.
这家宾馆跟别的不一样。
Zhè jiā bīn guǎn gēn bié de bù yí yàng.
This hotel is different from the others.

Pattern: `除了...以外`

除了 + A + 以外，还/也/都 + B

`除了...以外` adds another point, often like “besides A, also B.”

除了房间以外，早餐也很好。
Chú le fáng jiān yǐ wài, zǎo cān yě hěn hǎo.
Besides the room, breakfast is also good.
除了海边以外，我还想去老街。
Chú le hǎi biān yǐ wài, wǒ hái xiǎng qù lǎo jiē.
Besides the seaside, I also want to go to the old street.
