Míng tiān kě yǐ, huò zhě jīn tiān wǎn shàng xiān dǎ diàn huà shuō yě xíng.
Tomorrow works, or we can talk by phone first tonight.

Pattern: `还是` vs `或者`

question + 还是 / statement + 或者

`还是` is usually used in questions that ask someone to choose. `或者` is usually used in statements.

我们现在打电话还是晚上见面？
Wǒ men xiàn zài dǎ diàn huà hái shì wǎn shàng jiàn miàn?
Should we call now or meet tonight?
你可以下午来，或者晚上打电话。
Nǐ kě yǐ xià wǔ lái, huò zhě wǎn shàng dǎ diàn huà.
You can come in the afternoon or call in the evening.

Pattern: `看来`

看来 + conclusion

`看来` introduces a conclusion based on what you observe or think.

看来老师还在开会。
Kàn lái lǎo shī hái zài kāi huì.
It seems the teacher is still in a meeting.
看来这个办法不太合适。
Kàn lái zhè ge bàn fǎ bú tài hé shì.
It seems this solution is not very suitable.

Pattern: `对...来说`

对 + person/group + 来说

Use `对...来说` to say whose viewpoint, feeling, or situation you are talking about.

对我来说，说清楚很重要。
Duì wǒ lái shuō, shuō qīng chǔ hěn zhòng yào.
For me, explaining clearly is important.
对我妹妹来说，画画也是学习。
Duì wǒ mèi mei lái shuō, huà huà yě shì xué xí.
For my younger sister, drawing is also learning.

Pattern: `把` + Result Complement

把 + object + verb + result complement

Use this `把` pattern when the action produces a clear result, such as finishing, cleaning, or making something clear.

我把文件看完了。
Wǒ bǎ wén jiàn kàn wán le.
I finished reading the document.
我们把这件事说明白了。
Wǒ men bǎ zhè jiàn shì shuō míng bai le.
We explained this matter clearly.

Learning Note

`看来` is not direct proof.

`看来` means you are making a reasonable conclusion, not saying something is 100% certain.
