Pattern: `关于`

关于 + topic

`关于` introduces the topic or subject that the sentence is about.

关于熊猫，我想问一个问题。
Guān yú xióng māo, wǒ xiǎng wèn yí gè wèn tí.
About pandas, I want to ask a question.
关于比赛时间，老师明天告诉我们。
Guān yú bǐ sài shí jiān, lǎo shī míng tiān gào sù wǒ men.
About the competition time, the teacher will tell us tomorrow.

Pattern: `一般来说`

一般来说，sentence

`一般来说` means “generally speaking” and often comes at the beginning of a sentence.

一般来说，熊猫喜欢安静的地方。
Yì bān lái shuō, xióng māo xǐ huan ān jìng de dì fāng.
Generally speaking, pandas like quiet places.
一般来说，周末动物园人比较多。
Yì bān lái shuō, zhōu mò dòng wù yuán rén bǐ jiào duō.
Generally speaking, there are more people at the zoo on weekends.

Pattern: `比...多/少/早/晚 + verb + amount`

A + 比 + B + 多/少/早/晚 + verb + amount

This comparison describes a difference in quantity or time for an action.

夏天比冬天晚关门两个小时。
Xià tiān bǐ dōng tiān wǎn guān mén liǎng gè xiǎo shí.
In summer, it closes two hours later than in winter.
这个班比那个班多来了五个学生。
Zhè ge bān bǐ nà ge bān duō lái le wǔ gè xué shēng.
This class had five more students come than that class.
