Independent Content & Editorial Methodology

How We Create New HSK Mock Exams

HSKMockTest.com independently creates its published mock exams for Chinese learners. Our mock exams are not official HSK examination papers, and HSKMockTest is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any official HSK organization.

What We Create

Our published mock exam questions, answer choices, answer keys, explanations, listening scripts, and exam-specific supporting media are created for HSKMockTest. They are not copied or reproduced from official HSK examination papers or commercial test-preparation books.

We design original situations, dialogues, reading passages, tasks, and distractors to give learners realistic practice without presenting the material as an official examination.

How We Use Reference Standards

We use the Chinese Proficiency Grading Standards for International Chinese Language Education (《国际中文教育中文水平等级标准》) and publicly available exam-format information as references for level, vocabulary, grammar, skills, task types, and timing.

Alignment with a public standard describes the learning target only. It does not mean that our content is official, authorized, sponsored, or endorsed by an examination authority.

Our Editorial Process

  1. Define the target level, learning objectives, section structure, and scoring rules.
  2. Create original scenarios, questions, options, answer keys, explanations, and supporting media.
  3. Check vocabulary, grammar, difficulty, answer uniqueness, scoring, and cross-question consistency.
  4. Validate the complete exam flow, including listening, navigation, submission, scoring, and review.
  5. Correct confirmed issues and improve content through structured checks and learner feedback.

Automated tools may assist with drafting, translation, media preparation, and repeatable quality checks. We remain responsible for the published learning intent, answer logic, user experience, and corrections.
